The bracelet to design
A chain, your charms, in the place you give them. The bracelet takes shape on screen as you compose it.
The piece you look at most often
A bracelet is the piece its owner sees most: it is in her field of vision all day long. So it carries a personal detail better than any other — a stone with meaning, an initial, a discreet symbol only she understands. It is also the one that lives alongside others: worn alone, it is delicate; stacked, it tells a story.
Designing yours means choosing a chain, then placing your charms exactly where you want them along the links. Nothing is made in advance: your bracelet is assembled by hand after the order, in 5 to 10 working days. A composed bracelet starts at €25.
One piece, then another
A bracelet lends itself better than a necklace to the idea of a growing collection. Many start with a chain and one charm — a birthstone, an initial — then come back to add more for a birthday or a birth. Each new bracelet is designed separately and is worn with the previous ones.
That is also why the entry price matters: at €25, a first piece remains a sensible gift, one you can give several times without the series becoming unreasonable.
The art of layering
A composed bracelet looks lovely on its own, but it really comes into its own in a stack. Three rules are enough:
- Vary the widths. Two chains of the same width cancel each other out; a fine one next to a wider link creates depth.
- One focal point. The busiest bracelet goes in the middle of the stack, the simplest on either side — otherwise the eye does not know where to rest.
- Mix your materials. Gold and steel together work, as long as you embrace the contrast rather than trying for an approximate match.
Wearing it every day
The wrist is the most exposed part of the body: friction, water, soap, keyboards. So that is where the choice of material matters most. Stainless steel takes everything, including showers and sport. 18-carat gold plating and fine gold gilding have the warmest glow but should be taken off before water and products; gold filled sits in between, with a layer of gold much thicker than ordinary plating.
Our bracelets can be made from 12 cm, and the extension chain makes up a few centimetres’ difference depending on where you fasten it — so the same piece can be worn a little snug or a little loose, as you like.
Frequently asked questions about the bracelet to design
Which bracelet size should I choose?
Measure your wrist with a tape measure, or with a strip of paper laid against a ruler, then add a little room so the bracelet turns without tightening. Our bracelets can be made from 12 cm; the available lengths appear under each chain in the configurator, and the extension chain lets you tighten or loosen it by a few centimetres depending on where you fasten it.
Does a composed bracelet hold up to everyday wear?
Yes, provided you choose the material according to how you will wear it: stainless steel is not bothered by water or sweat, while gold plating and fine gold gilding should be taken off before showering, swimming and exercising. As the wrist is the most exposed part of the body, that is where the choice of material matters most. Every creation is guaranteed for 2 years against manufacturing defects.
How many charms on a bracelet?
One or two charms make a delicate bracelet that layers with others without getting in the way. Three to five make it a statement piece, to wear alone or with very simple bracelets. As the wrist is shorter than the neck, charms stand out more there: use fewer than on a necklace for the same effect.
How do I layer several bracelets?
Vary the widths rather than matching them: a fine chain next to a wider link adds depth. Mixing materials also works very well, gold and steel included. Put the busiest bracelet in the middle of the stack, with the simplest ones on either side.
Can I give it as a gift without knowing the wrist size?
Yes: the extension chain absorbs most differences, and a slightly loose bracelet is very wearable. If in doubt, choose the longer length — a piece that is too tight cannot be worn, a slightly loose one can. And if you would rather not decide for her, a gift card lets her design her own bracelet, size included.
Can I redesign my bracelet later?
Until the order is confirmed, the “Edit” button in the bag takes you back to the configurator with your design intact. Once you have received the piece, write to us: depending on the change you want, a rework in the workshop is often possible.
