Privacy policy

Protecting your data matters to us. Here is how it is processed.

This translation is provided for information only: only the French version is legally binding.

Data controller

Chauvire Bijoux is the controller of the data collected through the website. Contact: bijoux.chauvire@gmail.com.

Data collected

  • Identity and contact details (name, email, delivery/billing addresses).
  • Order information and purchase history.
  • Technical browsing data (cookies), under the conditions below.
  • Website usage data, without identifying you (see “Audience measurement” below).

Purposes

  • Processing and tracking your orders.
  • Providing customer service and after-sales service.
  • Sending you, with your consent, our news and offers (newsletter).
  • With your consent, measuring the effectiveness of our advertising and showing you ads tailored to your interests.
  • Complying with our legal and accounting obligations.

Retention

Your data is kept for as long as necessary for the purposes above, then archived or deleted in accordance with the applicable legal periods.

Sharing

Your data is never sold. It may be passed on to our strictly necessary service providers, who are bound by confidentiality:

  • Stripe, for paying for your order.
  • The carrier chosen for your order, usually La Poste (Colissimo) or Mondial Relay.
  • Brevo, for sending our emails.
  • Our hosting provider, for running the website.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC (United States)), to measure visits to the site and the purchase journey, and attribute visits that come from our advertising — only if you have accepted cookies.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook, Instagram) (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms Inc. (United States)), to measure sales from our Facebook and Instagram ads, show you pieces you have viewed again, and build advertising audiences — only if you have accepted cookies.

Cookies and trackers

Cookies necessary for the website to work (session, bag, security, choice of delivery country) are set without your consent: without them, the website cannot work. They are not used for measurement or advertising.

The trackers below, set by third parties, are loaded only after you accept on the consent banner. As long as you have not answered, or if you decline, none of their scripts run and none of their cookies are set.

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC (United States)) : measure visits to the site and the purchase journey, and attribute visits that come from our advertising. The provider’s privacy policy.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook, Instagram) (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms Inc. (United States)) : measure sales from our Facebook and Instagram ads, show you pieces you have viewed again, and build advertising audiences. The provider’s privacy policy.

Legal basis: your consent. These trackers read and write cookies on your device, and send their provider the pages and pieces you view, your additions to the bag and your purchases, in order to measure our advertising and, for some of them, to show you pieces viewed on the site again.

Transfer outside the European Union: these providers belong to groups established in the United States and your data may be transferred there. These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, failing that, on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Change your choice

You can change your decision at any time: withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and applies for the future.

Audience measurement

To understand how the website is used and improve it, we record browsing interactions in a technical log hosted on our own servers. This information is not passed on to any third party, is neither sold nor used for advertising, and is never used to identify you.

The following are recorded:

  • the pages viewed, the time spent, how far you scroll and the links clicked;
  • the technical characteristics of your browsing (device type, screen size, language, browser), page loading speed and any technical errors encountered;
  • in the jewellery configurator, your composition choices: chain, length, view, and the charms tried, placed or removed. They tell us which pieces interest you and which are missing.
  • the message you send to the workshop from the configurator, so we can reread your request alongside the composition that comes with it. Avoid including contact details: they are not needed to make the piece.

What is not recorded: your name, your email, your address, or any order or payment data. Your IP address is not kept: it is immediately turned into an irreversible fingerprint, using a key that is renewed every day and never stored.

No cookie is used for this measurement. A temporary identifier is kept by your browser for the duration of your visit (it disappears when the tab is closed). An identifier that recognises your successive visits is created only if you accept cookies; if you decline them, it is erased from your browser and the measurement remains anonymous.

In the mobile app, the measurement is the same and goes into the same log, with the addition of the operating system (iOS or Android) and the app version. The visit identifier lives in memory and disappears when the app is closed; the device identifier is only created if you accept it on first launch, and can be removed at any time in Account → Information (“Recognise this device”). No third-party measurement or advertising tool is built in.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring our website’s audience and ensuring it works properly; your consent for the identifier of successive visits. These logs are kept for 30 days, then deleted automatically. You can object to this measurement by writing to us at bijoux.chauvire@gmail.com.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to restriction, to portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to us at bijoux.chauvire@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
