Made-to-measure jewellery, the workshop way

No piece exists before you order. You compose it, then it is assembled by hand, one at a time.

Made to measure does not mean engraved

“Made to measure” is a widely used and rarely deserved term. For many, it means a name engraved on a mass-produced model: the piece is the same for everyone, only the inscription changes. Here, it means that no piece exists before you order — the chain, the charms and their position are the ones you chose, and the creation is assembled by hand, one at a time.

You can see the difference when you use it: you are not choosing from a catalogue of possible results, you are building the result. And what the configurator shows while you compose is the real rendering of your piece, assembled from photographs of the actual components, not a rough illustration.

Who makes your piece

Andrea Chauvire holds a French CAP in jewellery making. She designs, assembles and mounts every creation herself in her workshop on the Swiss border near Geneva. There is no subcontracting and no partner workshop: the person who receives your order is the one who makes it.

That is also why there are lead times. A piece assembled by hand after the order takes time; it is the price of a piece that was not mass-produced while waiting for a buyer.

From order to shipping

  • You compose your piece in the configurator, and you can leave a note for the workshop before confirming — a detail, an intention, a date.
  • Making: 5 to 10 working days. Each charm is mounted on its fitting, in the place you gave it.
  • Shipping. The piece leaves in its storage pouch — the one it will be kept in at home — with our card, all inside a padded envelope; a gift box is available as an option, in place of the pouch. You receive a tracking number on the day it ships.
  • Delivery: 5 to 10 working days in France, Switzerland and the European Union, to a pick-up point or to your home.

What is guaranteed, and what is not

Let us be frank: a piece composed to measure cannot be returned. It was made especially for you and does not carry the 14-day withdrawal period that applies to standard items. That is the direct trade-off of made-to-measure, and it is better to know it before composing than after.

On the other hand, every creation is covered for 2 years against manufacturing defects: assembly, setting, finishing. A piece that gives way during normal use is taken back. And if you are unsure about the length or size, write to us before ordering rather than after: it is simpler for everyone.

Where we are

The workshop is on the Swiss border, between the Ain, Haute-Savoie and Geneva. Creations are sent from there to France, Switzerland and the European Union. There is no shop open to the public: the configurator, and email for everything else.

A first composed piece starts at €25 for a bracelet. The price builds up before your eyes, element by element — there is no quote to request and no surprise supplement at the end.

Frequently asked questions about made-to-measure

What is truly made to measure?

The piece itself: the chain, its length, the number of charms and their exact position along the links. It is not a standard model with an engraving added — no piece exists before you order, and no two creations are ever alike.

Who makes my piece?

Andrea Chauvire, who holds a French CAP qualification in jewellery making, designs and assembles every piece herself in her workshop on the Swiss border near Geneva. Nothing is subcontracted: the person who receives the order is the one who makes it.

How long does it take?

5 to 10 working days of making after the order, then 5 to 10 working days for delivery in France, Switzerland and the European Union. You receive a tracking number as soon as it ships.

Can I return a made-to-measure piece?

No — that is the trade-off of made-to-measure: a piece composed especially for you does not carry the 14-day withdrawal period that applies to standard items. It remains covered by the 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects, and we look at every return request case by case.

What does the warranty cover?

Manufacturing defects found during normal use: assembly, setting, finishing. It does not cover natural wear, knocks, damage from water, perfume or chemicals, or loss. Write to us with your order number and photos, and we will offer a repair, a replacement or a refund, depending on the case.

Can I ask for a piece that is not in the configurator?

Write to us describing what you have in mind. Not every request can be made, but they are all considered — and that is often where the workshop’s new pieces come from.
